Service Description

You'll meet us - both human and pony host(s) - at our base in Piddlehinton to prepare you for your adventure walking pack ponies through the glorious Dorset countryside in the cool of the evening. We go through an introduction about the ponies - their backgrounds, personalities and how to work with them safely, before setting off through our gorgeous thatched village and up to views of Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You'll lead the ponies as much or as little as you're comfortable with, stopping to take in the view whenever the scenery demands a photo, which can be quite often! We know the area well and have plenty of stories about its history as well as knowledge about the nature all around you. We walk above the village along the valley, through rolling fields, dropping down into White Lackington before turning onto the Piddle Valley footpath and back towards Piddlehinton. The walk finishes by taking the ponies through the ford - you can lead them through or take the footbridge! Once back, we show you how to help with the ponies after care, give them their dinner and release them into their field. You'll leave feeling energised, reconnected and inspired. This walk is a circular route of about 5 miles, it has two moderately steep sections and usually takes 3-4 hours.
