Our Walks
On the day, you'll have time to meet the ponies and be inducted in to how to walk safely with them before we leave. We set off from the stables at The Thimble Inn - the most delicious pub in Dorset (and we're only a little bit biased!) - around Piddlehinton village and then we're completely off road, through fields and woodland, up onto the ridgeway for gorgeous views of Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, before walking back along the River Piddle. For those who laugh in the face of soggy feet, there is also the chance to walk the ponies through the ford - or you can bring wellies which Bob and Evie will happily carry for you :-) Bring your own refreshments for the dawn chorus walk, or enjoy a delicious Thimble lunch as part of our Piddle Valley Day Walk offer.
